Caramel Soy Latte: Recipe!

I personally love the smell of fresh coffee in the morning but I just can't drink a cup of black coffee. It's too harsh for me and I normally diffuse it a little bit with some soy milk, but sometimes I want to go a little bit crazy and spice things up a little - that's when I make my caramel soy latte, which I adore. Every time when I am feeling a little bit sad or just when I am having a bad day I make this little baby and everything is alright again. I thought it'd be nice to share this little drink with you because maybe, it could cheer you up one day! It's not really hard to make but it's just a really nice drink in general.

The first thing you'll need to do is brew some fresh coffee. If you're using a Senseo machine make sure you make just a basic coffee (not a cappucino or something like that, I don't even know if you can make those with a Senseo? anyways). When my coffee is in the making, I always heat up some milk to frother it so I can add a nice layer of foam on top. I always use soy milk because I am allergic to regular cow milk, but I've also discovered that regular milk is a little bit harder to frother. 

I always pour a little bit of milk into a glass/cup (I used a glass because it's easier to see how much of everything you put in it and it's just prettier, in my opinion). I then frother the warm milk from the microwave.

Once you've done all of this you can pour the coffee into the glass and pour the frothered milk on top. You can add a little bit of your favorite coffee sirup if you have the worst sweet tooth like me but if you want to keep it simple, you don't have to. I always sprinkle a little bit of some cinnamon on top because I love the smell and it looks rather cute.

I am an absolute tea lover and I wake up with a cup of tea every morning, but every now and then I crave for some caffeine I go for this coffee variety.

If you don't have a milk frotherer you can also grab a small (empty and clean, of course!) marmelade jar and put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds (without the lid), get it out and shake it for a minute or so. Make sure the shaking is ferm and steady so your foam will be too!

    I don't want to think about how many Body Shop body butters there is in this house... I'm almost a bit embarrassed. I really recommend you to try both their skincare products and makeup, best I've tried so far! The products are so expensive in Sweden so I went a bit crazy in England and now I guess I'm stuck, really stuck. And it makes me happy that all their products are vegetarian! x
