Nojito Recipe: My Fave Summer Drink

I love having a refreshing drink and I love the taste of lemons/limes. The first thing that pops into my head when I say 'lime/lemon' and 'refreshing drink' in one sentence, is a mojito. The sour taste of the fruit, the sweet taste of the alcohol.. one disadvantage: we can't sip our alcoholic beverages all day. That is why I wanted to share this 'Nojito' recipe with you: perfect for days in your garden,  together with a good book.

WHAT YOU NEED
- Sparkling water (make sure it's extremely cold!)
- 1/2 lime. (I personally prefer the taste of a lemon but classic mojitos contain limes.)
- A little amount of sugar (if you don't think it's sweet enough)/ginger syrup
- Some mint leafs
- Crushed ice (you can throw some ice cubes in your blender)

Fill up your glass with the crushed ice, mint leafs and the lime/lemon. Pour the sparkling water over it, and add some sweet syrup/sugar/ginger syrup to the nojito if you do not like the taste, which might be quite sour. I love this drink if I don't have the opportunity to have an alcoholic mojito, which is almost all of the time.

I didn't actually crush my ice because the blender was being unfriendly, that's why you see ice cubes!

Let me know if you'll ever try this recipe, and if you liked it!

  1. I love cold drinks during the summer and I can never be bothered to make my own so I just drink chilled coke which is pretty unhealthy! Definitely need to try this recipe!
