8 Reasons To Love Autumn

The feelings about autumn tend to be quite mixed - at least, for me. It means we have to say goodbye to our lovely weather, the shorts and the sunglasses - but it also means we can greet a new season filled with cups of tea, falling leafs and, unfortunately, a lot of rain. Anyway - if you're kind of worried (yet excited!) about autumn like me - check out this list of awesome things about the upcoming season I've created.

 1. Candles
I love candles but lighting them during the summertime is not always a good idea - actually having candles in the summer is not a good idea because well, candles melt. I recently got this Yankee Candle 'Baby Powder' wax melt and I've been using it all the time recently because it's the best thing ever. It makes my room smell like little babies and we all love little babies (does this sound weird? It sounds weird. Not trying to be weird.)

2. You can fill your stomach with tea again
I LOVE tea. It practically is the only drink I have when I'm at home. My personal favourite teas are the ones I've written about yesterday I believe and, of course, green tea. Yum.

3. YouTube nights
You won't have to feel guilty anymore when you stay at home and watch YouTube videos all night long. I love watching YouTube videos - I usually watch every video I've missed and try to discover as many new and inspiring YouTubers as possible/or I just listen to music and watch the music videos as I normally never watch the corresponding YouTube videos.

4. Early Christmas decorations
I adore Christmas decorations and I love those little lights which make your room so extremely cute. I recently got those little lamps you can see on the picture above and my room just looks so extremely cosy when I light up some candles and turn up some music. You can't do this in the summer - as the days are so much longer. One more reason to love autumn!

5. Perfumes
As seasons change, perfumes change. I've been using Marc Jacobs' Daisy Dream all summer long (since it came out) but I feel like I should change back to a kind of heavier, less sweet perfume - and this is the perfect time for it.

6. You will actually be excited for the Sun
The Sun can be annoying when it's already hot, you'd rather see it disappear. When the temperatures drop you might actually wish for that Sun you thought was so annoying a few months ago.

7. Pillows
Where pillows can be annoying when it's hot - they will now be perfect to snuggle with.

8. Leafs will leave
(You see what I did there? Not funny) - Anyways, this is what I love the most. I love it when trees are not green anymore but a first a bit reddish, then yellow, and then.. nothing. I love the crumbling sound the leafs make when you cycle over them or step on them - and I love how the trees look.

As you can see, there is absolutely no reason to be sad because autumn's coming. Oh - and if you live on the other side of the globe, you'll probably be tired of the candles and pillows and naked trees right now so there is no reason to be sad because spring's there. I think every season has some good and some bad aspects and looking at only the good aspects is a way to survive the necessary change of seasons. Have a lovely season!

  5. I love the pictures you included in this post! I'm really excited about autumn this year even though it rains and the days are getting colder and actually just recently wrote a blog post about it, too. It seems the older I get, the more I like autumn. I don't really know why. :)
