New Shoes / Shiny Black Dr Martens / 1461

If I'd have to choose a brand of shoes I'd have to wear for the rest of my life, it'd without any doubt would be Dr Martens. Every pair of Dr Martens I've ever worn was comfortable, beautiful and long-lasting. Whenever I have to 'invest' in a new pair of shoes that'll last for a longer time, I choose for Dr Martens. That is the reason why I didn't have to think long when I decided to buy shoes for the colder months: I had been dreaming about these shoes for so long now - and I then had the opportunity to buy them - so I did.

I came across these shoes for the first time on Beautycrush.co.uk and I loved them - they looked so stylish and fashionable. I didn't want to spend any money on shoes at that time though so I kind of forgot about them until I went online shopping again and fell in love just like I did the first time.

I can't say they are the most comfortable shoes ever, as they are not - yet. I am a Dr Marten enthusiast as you know and my other pairs walk like little cushions, but that stage of comfortability takes some time of breaking in the shoes first. I don't really mind, though, as I know what I'm doing it for while trying to forget about my blisters!

If you have been following my blog for a while you'll know this is my second pair of 1461s - I wrote a blogpost about them in July. You can go to that blogpost by clicking on this link. I'll be posting an outfit photo with this pair of beauties in the near future but I wanted to update you right after opening the box of happiness!

    1. They're actually not that hard to wear! They look quite funky on the photographs but are not really in real life. ^^

  4. Those are really beautiful Dr Martens but I know they'd just look chunky on me with my big feet. I actually own a pair of your standard Dr Martens boots in purple but to be honest I rarely wear them because I didn't take the time to break them in and wearing them usually leaves me with really hurtful blisters on my heels. I still wear them in winter sometimes because they will just keep my feet warm and keep me from slipping on icy ground.

    1. That's too bad.. taking some time to break them in should really help - I currently have blisters all over my feet but I know they will go away after my shoes have loosened up a little bit / my other pairs walk like little pillows!

  5. I really like these. I like that they're unisex. As a fan of mixing a little bit of men's fashion into my wardrobe, these are great! Good purchase.

    1. I do the same thing! I always check out the men's section of a store as well / they sometimes have the coolest shirts you'd never see in the women's section!
