Rituals Creamy Foam Cleanser: Review

Hello there lovelies! I hope your Christmas Eve will be great, filled with joy and happiness and lovely food and no worries.

The Christmas gift I got from work was a coupon I could use for anything I wanted - from visits to the zoo to subscriptions to famous magazines - but I chose to spend it at Rituals, one of my favourite beauty stores. I bought a cleanser, a body cream (which I'll review in a few days, I'm wearing it right now and 3 people've already complimented me for my scent!) and some small goodies.

I had to spend all the money all at once because they wouldn't give me a coupon back or something, so I spent almost an hour in the store (I think I drove the employees crazy!) but when I finally decided I'd buy a facial cleanser I knew it was the right choice. This package contains 125ml, but I think it'll last for a long time as you only need a small droplet to clean your whole face. It was €12.50, which is quite a lot for a simple foam cleanser.
All skin types / Luxury, soap-free facial cleanser. Sensational cream formula with Lotus Flower and Moringa Extract cleanses and rehydrates for soft, supple skin. Use: Apply the gentle cream to a wet face and neck. Gently massage into the skin until it forms a subtle foam. Rinse with lukewarm water.

This is what the package says and that is exactly how I use it: I first remove any make up by wetting a cotton pad with a micelle solution and then wet my face with cold water. I use a droplet of the cream, massage it onto my face (I usually skip my neck as I don't put any make up on there, obviously, and I think taking a shower is enough for my neck). I then rinse my face with lukewarm water, and I then apply my P-CL-E cream to my face.

The cream really feels like a regular cream: it's thick and if I wouldn't have known it's a cleanser I would've thought it's a day/night cream. The packaging looks really luxurious and clean: it looks great on my bathroom shelves.

The product's scent is great: it's there, but it's not too overwhelming: just  how I like the products on my face to be. You don't want to feel like you're putting a bunch of chemicals onto your face - and that's not what this feels like, at all. The product feels natural on the skin and it smells natural.

The formula does redden my face a little bit but this always happens whenever I wash my face: my skin's really sensitive (and that's why I use the Biodermal P-CL-E cream, it takes the redness away). I haven't used this cleanser that often yet, so I don't know what the long-term effects are but it isn't supposed to solve huge problems: the cleanser's just supposed to do the job - to clean your face.

I don't think I'd repurchase this cleanser: I usually use cleansers which were a) on sale or b) cheap in the first place - but I believe this one'll last for a long time and maybe I'll get used to it, can't live without it anymore and have to repurchase it! I simply haven't been using the product long enough to know the long-term effects. I think it'd be better to use the complete collection but I currently have some products I'm really attached to so I don't want to stop using those!

I hope you liked this review and if you've ever used this product, let me know in the comments below. X Sjoukje
