My Birthday High Tea

I don't really like birthdays. I hate being the centre of attention and getting presents is just so awkward! I don't know if it's just my weird self who thinks this or if there are others who share my opinion but I'm not looking forward to Friday (my actual birthday).
My best friends and my birthday are only two weeks apart so we decided to have a little birthday high tea for our closest friends. Instead of presents, we asked our guests to bake something nice we could enjoy together. They all made something tasty and we had a nice afternoon.

The photographs make me so hungry! Everything was so nice but we had tons of leftovers so I made everyone a tiny doggybag filled with cupcakes, scones, and cookies. And I drank so much tea! Well, that's what high teas are about.

  2. I'm the same! I can't stand being the centre of attention. I especially can't stand people watching me opening my presents, cringe. This looks amazing though, those Oreo brownies look sooo good! xx

  5. This is so cute and such a great idea! It's also a very funny coincidence... It's my birthday in a week and a half (one week after yours, actually) and I feel like my friends are nore excited about it than I am. They keep asking if I'm having a party, but I would honestly rather just spend the afternoon with a few of them and relax, laugh and have a good time. Maybe I'll do this!

  6. Well I like presents haha :) But I also don't like being the centre of attention. It's just not my thing so I usually don't do birthday parties. :) But I like the pictures. Looks like you had a fun time there. I also like the idea to bring delicious food instead of presents ♥
