I recently posted this article about 10 books I want to read and I'm happy to inform you that I can now cross one of those books off my list. The book I'm talking about is called 'The Rosie Project', a book that I've been wanting to read for so long and I realize that I am extremely late with talking about it but I liked it so much I had to post a little article about it.
This book is about Don Tillman - a man with autism - trying to find the love of his life. He does have a list of characteristics and habits his future wife has to have and he's made this list into a quiz. This book takes us on a little journey of Don's quest for a perfect wife - a journey with some really funny situations. None of Don's dates really work and at a certain point he meets Rosie, a woman who he has fun with but who's not suitable as a wife in any way. One leads to another and I'm not going to spoil anything but I think you've figured out what happens - hence the name 'The Rosie Project'.
I found this book very easy to read - we haven't had many sunny days here in The Netherlands but last Thursday was quite nice so I decided to get my shoes off and put on some comfy pants, get my book and read for a couple of hours. This book is perfect for that. (Oh, and I got sunburned already. Yay for being super duper pale.)
I really liked this book as well because the main character is very interesting one - he has autism which gives an interesting insight in a person with this illness' head.
I'd read this book if you liked reading books such as The Spectacular Now, The Fault In Our Stars, Love, Rosie and other quite popular young adult romantic novels.
It's Sunday today and I haven't been blogging too much lately. This week's going to be an interesting one - it's my mother's birthday today, I'll get a new tattoo on Wednesday and the weather's supposed to be really nice. I hope you'll have a lovely day! Much love, Sjoukje.
