Two Teas That'll Improve Your Day

Tricking me into cute shops is easy - making me buy things with cute packaging is even easier. I've fallen for Clipper teas many times before: at first for the beautiful boxes the bags come in, but I then discovered that their teas are delicious as well. I recently discovered two tasty new teas and I want to quickly recommend them to you - before I finish all 40 bags!

rise & shine

Organic maté, lemongrass & lemon verbena infusion. A lovely little lemony lift.

Many people say that drinking a hot glass of lemon water in the morning is a good and fresh start to a new day. I personally prefer tea - but isn't a lemony tea in the morning a perfect combination of those two things? This tea isn't all lemon, though, as it contains licorice as well. Another (and the main) ingredient of this tea is yerba maté - don't worry if you don't know what it is, I had to Google it as well. Yerba maté is a plant that contains a lot of caffeine - so that wakes you up as well. I can understand the choice of ingredients for the tea and I personally love the taste as well - it's lemony but not too: it has a certain rich sweetness to its taste too.

The tea doesn't have a peculiar color but it turns a bit green when you leave the tea bag in the water too long.

zen again

Organic lemongrass, eucalyptus & ginkgo infusion. For that moment of peace.

I bought this box of teas right before my last exam: I was feeling quite stressed out and I wanted to have something delicious to look forward to, for when I got home. I'd never tried an eucalyptus-infused tea before and I was a bit skeptical: I was afraid it would taste of nose-sprays too much. That isn't the case, though: the tea really does give me a calm(er) feeling without tasting weird. It's fresh but not too fresh, nor too sweet. Perfectly balanced.

Clipper tea seems to be a bit more expensive than other teas - this might be because it's organic, but it could as well be because this tea has been imported from the UK. It's 2,70 euros for 20 tea bags.

If you want to try a fresh lemon tea to start your day with, try the Rise & Shine tea. If you want to corporate a little zen moment into your day, make sure to give the Zen Again tea a go. Both teas are amazing and will make your day a bit better!

have a lovely day!

  11. I've never actually any Clipper teas before, but I have been wanting too. The Rise and Shine one does sound really good for the morning, I have such trouble waking up and with feeling groggy so maybe I'll give it a go!

    1. If you don't like flavored tea, I'd definitely try the Zen one - it doesn't taste as flavored as many other teas. X!

  20. Ohh Clipper thee is zooo lekker!

  26. Hi, I've just come across your lovely blog through another blogger (Simple Enchantment). This tea looks and sounds fab! but a true favourite of mine is twinnings Lady grey. I also noticed you are a vegetarian and would just like to share my nieces veggie t- shirt artwork for which she is recently selling on Etsy (Divine Tofu)
