Graduating From High School

Last Thursday was one of the craziest days of my life. After 6 years of high school I finally heard it wasn't all for nothing - I graduated! Hearing the final words gave me such a great feeling and that 'high' still hasn't worn off. I finally know my life will really change, rather than knowing it might, making plans which could have to be changed and being insecure all the time. I'm super excited about the next few months - I've told you so many times already and if you read the comments on my Instagram you might know this as well but I'm moving to Amsterdam in the very near future. I'm going to university in Amsterdam from September on but I want to be there a bit sooner - to start looking for a job, get used to the new area, and get to know where all the good food shops are. I'm so excited, ow yeah! I visited Amsterdam today as well (the 13th of June) and every time I walk out of the station I fall in love with the city a bit more.

I already have a room in Amsterdam 'reserved' (renting your own apartment in Amsterdam as a student isn't very common as it's too damn expensive) - at least, if all's well (some things are a bit different than I expected them to be). Anyway - if any 'Amsterdammers' have any suggestions for if this doesn't work out, please let me know in the comments. I'm a bit desperate, hehe!

For now, I just wanted to post this little update to share my happiness with you. My life has been quite busy even though I haven't had school for the past few weeks - and I'm going to Pinkpop  (a festival) today, woohoo! My father and I initially wanted to see the Foo Fighters but Dave Grohl broke his leg (why?!) so we unfortunately won't get the chance to see the Foos again. We did decide to go anyway, though, so I'm hoping we'll have a great day. I'm sure we will.

How has your life been? Has it been just as 'changeful' as mine?

have a beautiful day

  2. Wow, congratulations! And impressive that you've managed to somewhat find a room. If that doesn't work out, maybe you can try HiCondo? It's a bit expensive (around 700-800 euro's I think?) and I'm not sure if there's still room, but in a state of absolute desperation you might look up some info :) Good luck!

  14. Hey :) You're going to love your life in Amsterdam I'm sure! But yes finding a place in the city can be a huge pain in the ass (excuse the language :D). I suggest to look for rooms on Kamernet.nl and just tell everyone you know that you're looking for a a place. There's always someone that knows someone that knows someone ... This is how I always found my rooms! Good luck with your search!
