A leather backpack has been on my wish list for months - literally. Every time I'd see anybody with one I'd look my eyes out, trying to find a little brand or logo or something like that, to identify where he/she bought the leather beauty. My quest for a leather backpack was a crappy one - I'd browsed through ASOS and other websites for ages but I simply couldn't find anything that would 1) fit my laptop, and 2) not be too expensive for my budget. I might've forgotten about the second point in my quest but I think my love for my new travel mate justifies the kind-of-too-expensive-for-me purchase.
So there he is. My new love. This Dr Martens backpack is an all-leather one - quite hard to find in the immense collection of many stores' faux-leather backpacks department. I wanted a decent leather backpack to last me for years and years and I prefer the look of real leather over fake leather as well. Not very vegan of me to say (but that's why I'm only vegetarian. ;)).
I didn't really know Dr Martens had backpacks in their collection so I was extremely surprised when I wanted to briefly pop into the Dr Martens store in Amsterdam - instead I visited the store 3 times (I think I drove the store employees crazy), because I was so insecure. Making big purchases like this one, especially when they're a bit spontaneous, makes me nervous but I knew I had to do it - I would've regretted leaving this beauty in the store.
The bag is quite large - I was told that the bag is supposed to fit a 15" laptop but I think having a thick case around your 15" laptop would make it a bit harder to let it slide in easily. Anyway - there's no problem for me there as my laptop is 13" big.
What I adore about this backpack is that it looks so vintage-y, yet classy and luxurious. I love wearing this and see it as an accessory, rather than an annoying thing on my back that carries my stuff. And that's exactly what I was looking for.
If you're interested in a new school- and work-proof backpack, here's the link to the Dr Martens website. For now I'm just going to stare at the backpack (because that is what I've been doing for the past few days) - I'm too scared to pick it up! Hehe!
have a beautiful day
(oh, and for the excessive amount of doodles on my images: I bought a new drawing tablet and I think you can see I'm super happy with it!)
