Paris Day 1

Hello there lovely readers! School took me on a little trip to Paris on the 26th and 27th and I took some snapshots on both days. Here's my little report of day one, the rainy one. Enjoy!

A long and rainy trip to Paris: it took us some traffic jams but after a couple of hours, we finally arrived.
I don't know how this part is called but we had about 20 minutes of free time here 'to experience the architecture': we only spotted a New Look so we spent our time there. Girls will be girls.
When we arrived at the hotel we had some time to unpack our bags - I only brought a backpack so I didn't need much time - so we went to buy a toothbrush (guess who forgot hers..) and explored the street we were in for a bit.

Time to go to Centre Pompidou!
I like museums for interior inspiration. Is that sad? Haha!

Look at this lamp...

Empty escalators are so calming.
Time to grab some dinner! We had pizza in a very shady restaurant because we couldn't find anything else that was affordable. It was really delicious though.
I'm still having an internal debate whether or not I like the Eiffel Tower (I mean, is it really beautiful?) but I really liked it by night.

Time to go back to our hotel! We were all very tired but we had a nice day. I liked visiting Centre Pompidou: I'd never been there before. The rest of the day consisted mainly of traveling and waiting but that didn't matter - we were in Paris! Have you ever been to Paris? Let me know! Much love, Sjoukje

  6. I'd so love to go to Paris! I've never been but I've heard I should go before I'm 26 as then a lot of museums and sights are for free. How lucky you are that your school took you there! :)

  10. Wonderful photos!!! To be honest, I said the F word already after reading the title. And oh my goodness I was thinking that if I see the Eiffel Tower (which I am dying to see), and get disappointed, what will my life would be? Haha

  11. Looks like a great day one. I loved this little foot verhaal of sorts ;)
I have the same internal struggle you mention about the Eiffel Tower. I mean, I can admire that it is a nice architectural piece, but sometimes people swoon so hard over it and that I don't understand. In the evening when the lights come on though, it is very beautiful. I love light at night! So calming!

  12. I went once to Paris, but only to visit a museum. We had a bit of free time, but not enough I think. Otherwise I really enjoyed my little trip.

    Nice pics by the way.
